The 21st of September is the International Day of Peace (IDOP), and therefore a very important day on our planet. Special activities and celebrations will take place all across the world. Daily we are confronted via media and social networks with the problems that exist in the world today, including serious forms of poverty, war, discrimination, corruption and much more. The International Day Of Peace is devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace and solutions for these problems both within and among global communities and local individuals.

Brussels as multi-cultural capital of Europe consists of a large and diverse amount of communities. Therefore it is important that we organise an International Day of Peace in Brussels, to inform and share the different social and cultural entities that live within this cosmopolitan city. The diverse program will include social-economic debate, ethnic music concerts, live art, social non-profit organizations, performances, dance, expo and much more.

Peace can not be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding. – A. Einstein
